Why use Biodegradable Plastic instead of Regular Plastic?

* Undergo degradation more rapidly than regular plastic (months vs. years)
* Environmentally friendly
* Reduces landfill volume
* Reduce plastic pollution
* Non-toxic residues

- Biodegradable Bags

Biodegradable Technology

What is biodegradable technology?
Biodegradable technology is a way to make plastic products decompose into biomass.

How does biodegradable technology work?
Special additives are blended into plastic resins during production to impart degradation properties without impacting productivity or product integrity. When these products end up in landfills, it will start to biodegrade.

When do biodegradable products start to degrade?
These products start to degrade in landfills.

What cause the biodegradable products to degrade?
In landfills, these products undergo oxidative degradation rapidly. Heat, moisture and microorganisms trigger the biodegradation process.

Can your biodegradable products be recycled?
Yes. The plastic properties remain unchanged and can be recycled.

What is the recycle code of biodegradable products?
The recycle code is the same as the plastic resin used for the product.

Do you have test to prove the biodegradability?
Test is done in accordance to ASTM D5210-92(2000), “Standard Test Method for Determining the Anaerobic Biodegradation of Plastic Materials in the Presence of Municipal Sewage Sludge”. The degradation is 4.5% per 5 months.

What is the difference between your technology and corn-based technology?
Our biodegradable technology does not lower the shelf-life of the plastic products. Most corn-based technology products have very limited shelf-life which is usually 6-12 months.

Biodegradable Tubes

Why is biodegradable tubes important to the environment?
Currently more than 90% of the cosmetic tubes go into landfills. Biodegradable tubes will be turned back into biomass quickly in landfills.

How do I order biodegradable tubes?
You just need to specify whether you want regular or biodegradable tubes when you request for quotation.

Does biodegradable tube affect the content?
No. The properties of the plastic remain the same because the biodegradation occurs only in landfill?

Are biodegradable tubes more expensive than regular tubes?
Biodegradable tubes are very affordable. The premium is just a few percent over our regular tubes. With our efficient manufacturing process, you will often find that the prices you are paying for your regular tubes are the same as our biodegradable tubes.

What is the recycle code of biodegradable tubes?
The recycle code for LDPE biodegradable tubes is "4" and the recycle code for HDPE biodegradable tubes is "2". For MDPE and mixed resins tubes, the recycle code is "7".

Are multi-layer tubes biodegradable?
The bidegradable rate for two-layer tubes is similar to single -layer tubes. Three and five layer tubes will take a slightly longer period to biodegrade.

Biodegradable Bags

How many plastic bags do we consume?
An estimated 500 billion to 1 trillion plastic bags are consumed worldwide annually. This is over one million bags per minute.

How many plastic bags are recycle?
According to the BBC, only 1 in 200 plastic bags in the UK are recycled. Most plastic bags end up in landfills.

Does regular plastic bags decompose?
Yes. Regular plastic bags take up to 1,000 year to decompose.

What is the difference between regular and biodegradable plastic bags?
Regularl plastic bags can persist unchanged for many years in landfills. However, biodegradable plastic bags start to degrade within a few months in landfills.

Why is it important for plastic bags degrade in landfills?
They reduce landfill volume and help maximize capacity utilization.
